What type of paper is used for your prints?

We use the highest quality heavy weight premium glossy photo paper for our prints.  Alternative paper is available upon request.

Prints are centered on paper that is sized to fit conventional frames, as shown in the table below. Contact TheWorldinLight if you prefer borderless prints or prints with different dimensions.

     8" (and smaller) prints are centered on 11" x 14" paper
    10" (and larger) prints are centered on 13" x 19" paper

These dimensions yield prints that are centered within a white border.

How are prints packaged and shipped?

All photographic prints are securely packaged in thick cardboard to prevent bends. Larger prints may be shipped in damage-proof tubes. TheWorldinLight will replace at no charge any print damaged during shipping.

How much will I pay for shipping and sales tax?

TheWorldinLight charges $5.95 for shipping within the US. Sales tax is charged only for Michigan residents. Michigan sales tax is 6%.

What is your delivery time?

I strive to satisfy my customers with prompt deliveries and attempt to ship within one week of receiving your order.  Occasionally, due to vacations, or when I am traveling, my delivery time might be extended. When shipping delays are anticipated for any of these reasons, I will post a warning on our "Site News" page and attempt to contact the customer directly. If you have urgent needs for fast delivery please contact us.

Are your prints fully guaranteed?

TheWorldinLight prints are 100% guaranteed. Of course we want you completely happy with the products you purchase from our gallery.  If for any reason your print does not meet your expectations, please return the print within one week of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price. For quality control purposes we would like to know the reason for any dissatisfaction with our prints.
Please bear in mind that computer monitors vary dramatically in their ability to display color.  Consequently, your print might not match your monitor's display of our photos.  However, customers typically find that our prints far surpass the quality of the image displayed on their computer monitor.

What is your return policy?

TheWorldinLight guarantees a full refund when products are returned undamaged within one week of receipt.  We greatly appreciate knowing the reason for dissatisfaction so that we can improve our quality control. Please return your print to:

Can you deliver prints fully matted and framed?

TheWorldinLight will accept special orders for matted and framed prints. Since there is a wide variety of matting and framing options, please contact me for details at accounts@theworldinlight.com.

What type of mats are used for your prints?

We use acid-free, bevel-cut mats prepared in colors selected to complement each individual print.  Mats are cut with outside dimensions to fit the following frame sizes:

     8" (and smaller) prints are matted for 11" x 14" Frames
    10" (and larger) prints are matted for 16" x 20" Frames

Please contact the world in light if you prefer alternative mat dimensions. Please note that mats are cut with openings up to 1/2" smaller than the dimensions of your print to avoid white space.

What if I want to mat and frame my own prints?

There are many frame shops which will provide this service to you at reasonable rates. Also, art supply shops carry many colors of photo-safe matting and will custom cut mats for you or sell you the matting if you'd prefer to do it yourself.
