The best time to photograph Death Valleys beautiful sand dunes is when the sun is low on the horizon, either early morning just before and after sunrise, or late afternoon just before and after sundown. The orange glow of the sun during these times complements the color of the sand and accentuates the textures of the wind blown ripples.
