In Merida, Venezuela, at the foot of a mountain in the Andes, you can catch a ride on one of the longest cable cars in the world. Riding it up to over 4,000 meters elevation provides a short cut and start to a long hike to the little remote village of Los Nevados, shown in this photo. |
