| The coast of Maine is famous for the beautiful pink granite that lines the shore and makes up the scenic hillsides that overlook the Atlantic Ocean. This page includes photos of Bass Harbor and Bar Harbor, home to fleets of lobster boats. The coast of Maine is sprinkled with lighthouses and I've included one photo of the Bass Harbor Lighthouse here - possibly one of the most frequently photographed lighthouses in the US. Acadia National Park is in the midst of the scenic Maine seascape, offering hiking trails with striking views of rugged, pink granite lined coast and close-up views of lobster boats in fiords.
