Dubrovnik, Croatia is often referred to as the Pearl of the Adriatic. It should be on anyone's list of top travel destinations when visiting Croatia. This most impressive ancient city resides on the seashore with impressive views of the gorgeous waters of the Adriatic Sea. In the far south of Croatia, it enjoys an excellent climate. The city is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, protected as an excellent example of a medieval walled city. Once inside its old walls, a visitor will see 11th and 12th century buildings and an endless array of shops, cafes, and restaurants with outdoor seating. This page has photos of Dubrovnik, inside and out, the Onofrio Fountain, the Minceta Tower, the Franjo Tudman Bridge, Dubrovni's city streets and ancient building facades. The photos of Dubrovnik on this page can be viewed in our Slideshow. See all TheWorldinLight has to offer at Destinations and Topics.
