Granada Spain is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This page has photos of the city's major tourist attractions including
the Alhambra, a series of palaces and gardens built
in the 14th century, and within it, the summer palace called Generalife, with fountains and gardens. The Alhambra stands
at the foot of
Spain's highest mountain range, the Sierra Nevada. It overlooks the city below and the plains of Granada.
This page also has photos of the immense Palace of Charles V, a beautiful example of Spanish
Renaissance architecture at the center of the Alhambra. The Alhumbra is Granada's most famous monument and one of the
most visited places in Spain. Be sure you reserve a ticket on-line ahead of time to avoid the long waits at the Alhumbra ticket counter.
Other photos here include the city's cathedrals, including the Royal
Chapel where Isabel and Ferdinand lie buried, the Monastery of La Cartuja and many churches built by Moorish
craftsmen in Granada's unique "mudéjar" style. Granada is one of the top travel destinations of Spain.
