What's New |
Hunawihr is a quaint and charming little Alsatian French village situated along the wine road in Eastern France near the larger town of Riquewihr. From Riquewihr, Hunawihr is an easy bike ride, or an even easier five minute car ride. The town boasts the 15th/16th century Church of St Jacques le Majeur with beautiful stained glass windows and fortifications built around it and its accompanying cemetary. Also, in the neighboring hillsides overlooking Hunawihr, are three old, unrestored castles - the Ribeaupierre, Girsberg, and St. Ulrich. The view of these old castles add to the pleasant scenery that surrounds the village. Hunawihr also has an excellent cafe, the Suzel.
