Ollantaytambo, Peru is a little village in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in the Andes Mountains. This little village claim to fame is that it is the only place that the Incas defeated the Conquistadors in battle. The Incan ruins here are not extensive, but are interesting and definitely worth a visit. The landscape where the village sits is quite beautiful, but the village itself has little to offer the tourist beyond educating him/her on the way of life in such little Peruvian towns. The cliffside overlooking the village has seemingly inaccessible buildings on sheer slopes and there is also a multi-story tall sculpture of an Incan face. Center the Slideshow here.
