These photos of Washington include images from Lava Canyon, Ape Cave, Mount St. Helens, as well as the Upper, Middle, and Lower Lewis Falls. Mount St. Helens is now famous for the enormous eruption of 1980. That eruption profoundly changed the landscape surrounding the volcano, including that of Lava Canyon. Ape Cave, within the Mount St. Helens Volcanic National Monument is thought to be the longest lava tube cave in the world. For a map of this area, see: Mount St. Helens Volcanic National Monument Map.
